Wiebke Dreyer

 

Profile

After spending a significant time in the Mediterranean, German, London based artist Wiebke Dreyer started her work about colour. She originally based her work on Mediterranenan landscapes,  strongly influenced by perception of languages and light in different cultures. Travelling to Morocco introduced the aspect of texture and environment and a recent passion for opera lead to a contrast of the originally  by the Sahara desert and lately by walks in her local park inspired earth paintings with strong colourful theatre inspired  ones.

2000: July: Gradution from Wimbledon School of Art, London, with the Masters Degree in Fine Art

1998. May: Graduation from Escola Massana, Barcelona with the Fine Art Diploma 

1996/ 97: Five month exchange with the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier

1994:  Foundation course at Central St Martins, London
