Bert Hermans

(1947) was in his working life an associate professor in Health Law at Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and a legal advisor of the Dutch Association of Hospitals. Since the end of the eighties he is also a passionate painter.

Since his retirement in 2011 he owns an atelier at the Vest in the historic city center of Gouda. There he makes mainly oil paintings. His mayor theme is industrial and cultural heritage.

At the beginning of his painting career he followed different courses in acryl, water paint and oil painting at the art school 'Stichting Kunstzinnige Vorming Rotterdam'.

Since his retirement in 2011 he further developed his technique by following courses in the atelier of Clara Miedema in Rotterdam.
